Mohamed Elneny is on his way to Turkey ahead of a season-long loan move to Besiktas.
The Arsenal midfielder shared a picture on board a flight as he jetted off.
Having been told he was surplus to requirements at the Emirates by Unai Emery, Elneny will look to impress at Besiktas this term.
Wearing a denim shirt, the 27-year-old had a big grin on his face ahead of departure.
He will be hoping for regular game time in the Turkish Superlig having fallen down the pecking order in north London.
Bordeaux had been hopeful of luring him to Ligue 1 but were beaten to the punch by Besiktas.
Elneny only made eight appearances for the Gunners last season in the Premier League and seven in the Europa League.
He also made one appearance in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup but will be looking to nail down a consistent place in Abdullah Avci's side.
