Spurs don't want to risk further injury to a player who has suffered a series of problems with his hamstring.
Pochettino said: 'It's the same area. Yes, of course, we are worried.
'He's still so young. Just 23 years old and many, many hamstring problems in the last few years.'
Spurs fell to a shock 1-0 home defeat by Newcastle on Sunday and struggled to create chances with Christian Eriksen left on the bench from the start.
