Maurizio Sarri confirmed at a Press conference that Ronaldo was a doubt with a thigh strain.

The No 7 will now officially not make the trip to Brescia as no chances are taken over his thigh strain.

He is also up for The Best FIFA Men’s Player award at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan this evening.

However, Gonzalo Higuain is in despite fears of a broken nose, while injured trio Giorgio Chiellini, Mattia De Sciglio and Douglas Costa remain out.

There is also still no place for Mario Mandzukic, who continues to be linked with a move to Qatar.
