It’s been two years since Sunday Mba had a football club, and the former international has admitted times are not easy.
While Mba claimed legendary status at AFCON2013 with a goal to hand Nigeria the title, the 30-year-old met his fall in 2017. Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor released the Aba-born footballer and he has been clubless ever since.
"As a free agent things are not really that easy, but you can only be hopeful," Mba BBC Sport.
"My desire is to get back into club football and I am working hard to start playing again. Football is everything I have and I cannot just give up. I believe there's something out there for me."
The former Enyimbastar confirmed what many footballers successful and otherwise will all tell you: luck plays a major role in this game. Mba also ressurred that he has consistently maintained individual training to keep his fitness.
"First you'd need the luck to find someone that believes in you and ready to give you a chance," he said.
"I've continued to stay in shape, train daily and be physically ready for any opportunity. I still have something to give and will continue to stay mentally and physically ready."
Mba’s career clubs & stats:
Enugu Rangers: One goal in one appearance.
Enyima: Unavailable

CA Bastia (France): Seven goals in 22.
