Man City give injury update on De Bruyne, Stones and Mendy vs Crystal Palace

Manchester City have two key players back for tomorrow's trip to Crystal Palace.

Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones have trained well this week after spells out of the team before the international break.

But Benjamin Mendy is still not ready to step back into Pep Guardiola's squad after a hamstring injury.

City head to Palace needing a win to maintain any kind of pressure on runaway leaders Liverpool, ahead of their Sunday trip to Manchester United.

Asked about the players who were missing before the international fortnight, Guardiola replied: “Some of them are back - Kevin is back, John has trained good, Mendy a little later.”

That means, apart from Mendy, the only absentees from the squad are Laporte and Leroy Sane, both out until 2020 with cruciate injuries.
