Pogba ruled out until December as Solskjaer confirms extent of ankle injury

Paul Pogba is set to be out of action for at least another month due to his troublesome ankle injury, it emerged on Sunday night.

Manchester United’s record signing has missed eight of the last 10 games with the problem that he first suffered against Southampton in August and then aggravated when he returned to play against Rochdale and Arsenal last month.

Pogba recently returned from a warm-weather rehabilitation programme in Dubai with his right foot still in a protective cast, and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed after Sunday’s win at Norwich that the Frenchman is still some way off a return.

‘I don’t think we’ll see him maybe before December,’ said Solskjaer. ‘He’ll be out for a while. He needs time to fully, fully recover, so I don't think he'll be back.

‘Maybe Sheffield United (on November 24) after the international break but probably December before you can see him.

‘It’s the ankle rather than foot. I’m not the doctor but there is an injury there that needs healing.’
