Bordeaux forward Samuel Kalu won’t be representing Nigeria when they take on Brazil in an international friendly game on the 13th of October, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
Kalu missed his team 3-1 win away to Toulouse in the Ligue 1 yesterday due to a thigh injury with many saying the move was a precaution to prevent him from aggravating the injury but it appears like it’s worst than initially feared.
Reports has it that the injury will see him miss the Super Eagles high profile game against Brazil where coach Gernot Rohr was hoping to play him same way he did in attack alongside the duo of Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen in attack.
A replacement for Kalu who has found the back of the net once for Bordeaux this season looks highly unlikely as Rohr still has options in wide areas to make up for his absence notably Moses Simon and Dennis Emmanuel Bonaventure.
