The highlights of the Big Brother Naija reality show are usually the romantic relationships that tend to form in the house and this year was no exception.
The 2019 edition may have come and gone but it definitely brought a lot of entertainment, fun, drama and most of all romance.
Let us get right into business and take a closer look at the five love ships that may likely sail after the PepperDem season.
1.Elozonam and Diane
The entrance of the new housemates which included Elozonam definitely changed the dynamics of the game.
Before Elozonam's entrance, The Queen of the North had been shipped with other housemates, Tuoyo, Sir Dee and Nelson all to no avail.
She soon became close friends with him after they were paired together in the same group.
Though Elozonam wasn't entirely Diane's speck as she admitted on different occasions, they soon became an item and did almost everything together with their fans hoping for something romantic.
Outside the house, they have on different occasions maintained they are still good friends but are just busy trying to get a grip of their newfound fame.
2. Omashola and Kimoprah
Even though Kimoprah's stay in the house was shortlived, you could tell that there was a spark between her and Omashola. They gisted, laughed and did stuff together and many eagerly looked forward to a 'SHIP' but this wasn't to be as the beauty queen was kicked out of the show after spending just two weeks.
Omashola who probably has a thing for beautiful ladies also tried his luck with his 'Warri' sister, Venita but it ended in tears.
Outside the house, Kimoprah and Omashola have kept their friendship going on and it keeps getting stronger.
Just a few days ago, she accompanied Omashola to his homecoming in Warri and this has left many speculating that they might be more than friends.
3. Khafi and Gedoni
BBNaija 2019 won't be complete without Policewoman Khafi and her Calabar born beau, Gedoni. Though not a case of love at first sight, this pair was able to give us the much-needed entertainment we wanted.
Khafi didn't hide her love for the fashion designer which was very evident on the day of his eviction. The same couldn't be said for Gedoni as he looked happy to be leaving the house.
An unconfirmed video of him flaunting another lady went viral which again gave many concerns about his love for Khafi.
We can say all that is in the past now as he gave her a surprise on her 30th birthday while also sending her the sweetest love message ever. She also admitted that he was the salt of her life.
4. Mercy and Ike
The Bonnie and Clyde of the season, we can categorically say that BBNaija 2019 was all about Mercy and Ike as they brought the pepper and added spice to it.
They soon got really close around the third week and their chemistry was noticeable. They did almost everything together, eating, cooking, sleeping and they soon became fans favorite.
Though their relationship had its own fair share of fights and quarrels, they were able to get over it.
A highpoint of their relationship was when they both emerged joint Head of House after they both tied in the Head of House challenge.
Ike was also instrumental to Mercy's success and becoming the winner after he gifted her his coins to buy immunity, something many termed very selfless.
They have both succeeded in maintaining a great relationship outside the house as they attend events and functions too.
Should we be expecting a wedding hashtag soon like#BamTeddy, maybe #MerIke 2021, well, let's keep our fingers crossed.
5. Esther and Frodd
The relationship between Frodd and Esther can't be forgotten in a hurry. Frodd who had always had a thing for the curvy lawyer from the first time they got into the house but she just didn't like him.
He first made headlines when he cried for her on National tv professing his love yet she didn't bulge.
However, with Nelson's eviction from the house, the two in no time became close.
The relationship, however, looked more like a situationship with many hailing the 'Slow Tiger' for always showing her love in different ways even though it was unrequited.
Although they later became really close buddies, it didn't last long as she was soon booted out.
She, however, showed her likeness for him when she gave him all her coins, a feat which was hailed by many and this, in turn, made Frodd fall in love with her the more.
Though not much as been seen of both of them outside the house amidst rumours that they had unfollowed each other, we can only hope that they can settle their differences and that their ship finally sails.
