Former Inter keeper Cesar FAINTS after Flamengo's Copa Libertadores winner

Flamengo legend Julio Cesar was so caught up in the emotion of his former side's incredible Copa Libertadores victory on Saturday that he fainted in the stands.

The former QPR and Brazil goalkeeper, who came through the ranks at Flamengo and made 170 appearances for the first team, was in Lima, Peru, to watch his old club beat River Plate in person.

And after Gabriel Barbosa grabbed a dramatic winner in added time, having only equalised in the 88th minute, the moment was too much for Cesar to take.

The 40-year-old was caught on camera collapsing and falling over a row of seats as he celebrated Gabigol's second goal of the game.

In the clip, Cesar desperately holds onto a friend's shirt as he falls backwards, looking dazed and confused as those around him soak in the atmosphere.

However, he appears to regain his bearings quickly and is later seen in tears of joy after the Brazilian side's first South American crown in 38 years.

River Plate's 14th-minute opener through Rafael Santos Borre had looked set to make the Argentine side the first back-to-back winners in 18 years, but Barbosa's late double flipped the game on its head.

Cesar, who also played for Inter Milan and Benfica during his career and won 87 caps for Brazil, moved to Italian side Chievo from Flamengo in 2005.

He returned to the club last year and played just once before hanging up his gloves for good and, seemingly, returning to the role of supporter.
