With Liverpool looking well-placed to finally win the Premier League for the first time and Manchester City desperate to break their Champions League duck, Pep Guardiola has joked that he and Jurgen Klopp should swap trophies.
Both Klopp and Guardiola have attended the Football Writers' Association Awards dinner in Manchester to pick up special awards for their success on European and domestic arenas respectively.
As Manchester City's boss was entering the stage after Klopp's speech he looked at the Premier League and the Champions League trophies standing nearby.
"Maybe we can swap?" Pep joked, explicitly referring to the trophy he desires the most and at the same time downplaying all of his claims about what is the most important trophy in club football.
