It has been confirmed that Benzema, Djibril Cisse & Co. lose latest legal fight in the Mathieu Valbuena sextape affair.
The French Supreme Court on Monday dismissed Karim Benzema's appeal, with which the striker of Real Madrid hoped to bury the accusation that continues since 2015 for his alleged involvement in an attempt to blackmail his teammate then Matthieu Valbuena.
Magistrates of the highest court judged that the investigators did not go beyond the legitimate limits to obtain proof of their involvement, contrary to what the player wanted.
This means that the validity of all the evidence collected by the prosecution is maintained, which could lead Benzema to sit on the bench at the end of the instruction procedure.
