Fiorentina confirm Franck Ribery will undergo surgery to stabilise his ankle and it remains to be seen how long he’ll be out for.

The veteran contributed two goals and two assists in 11 Serie A appearances this season.
He suffered a badly sprained ankle on December 1 and has already skipped two matches.
Now a statement released by Fiorentina announced he continues to feel pain and was visited by a specialist.
An operation to stabilise the ankle was suggested, which could speed up the recovery time, and he’ll go under the knife today or tomorrow.
Only after the surgery will Fiorentina explain how long Ribery is expected to be out for.
Fiorentina will play against Inter in the Serie A on December 15 and Ribery is going to miss the game.
