Guardiola admits Man City's title defense is over, says next season would be better

Pep Guardiola is not counting the points as Manchester City lost further ground in the title race.

Guardiola was asked about the size of the task facing his players with no team having ever come from so far behind to win the league, but is not giving up.

"Whether we are one, five, ten, 14 or 25 points behind, we have to continue," he said. "If we are not able, we are going to try next season."

"Next season will be better or we will be luckier. Next season will be better," said Guardiola.
