The Rossoneri made the announcement via a statement on their official website.
It has been learnt that the Swede having put pen to paper on a deal which will run until the end of the season.
It was reported that there is the option for another season.
Recall that Ibrahimovic first arrived at Milan on loan from Barcelona in August 2010, helping the Rossoneri win their 18th Scudetto that season by scoring 14 goals.
He then joined permanently and netted 28 goals the next season before leaving with Thiago Silva for Paris Saint-Germain.
Ibrahimovic’s arrival at Milanello is scheduled for January 2, and his first game will likely be the Coppa Italia clash against SPAL at San Siro on January 15.
