Virgil van Dijk has missed Liverpool's first training session in Qatar as they look to win the Club World Cup.

Along with Georginio Wijnaldum, the Reds defender sat out of training which was an open session held at Qatar university.
Anfield sources remain tight lipped over why the defender was not present and taking part with the rest of his team-mates.
However, the ECHO reports he is not suffering from injury and that cannot be cited as the reason he was missing.
If the Dutchman is unable to prepare or unable to play for Liverpool in the competition, it will be a big blow given the magnitude of his influence on matches and those around him.
Whatever the case, Klopp will be hoping he is available for the match on December 18 which is set to take place at the Khalifa International Stadium.
