Vardy misses Leicester clash with West Ham after wife Rebekah gives birth to their fifth child

According to reports gathered, Rebekah Vardy has given birth to her fifth child with her husband Jamie Vardy.

It was reported earlier by Leicester City confirmed that Jamie would not be playing in their Premier League game against West Ham United as he remained at home with his wife, 37, after her new arrival.

Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanancho was handed the starting belt in the absence of the league top scorer.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said: 'Jamie Vardy’s wife had a child today, so he’s with her and congratulations to them.'

Rebekah and Jamie already have Finley, two, and Sofia, four, together, with Rebekah already having Megan, 14, and Taylor, nine, from previous relationships.

Leicester City ace Jamie also has a daughter, Ella, nine from his past relationship with Emma Daggett.

Vardy's wife, took to Instagram on December 19 to share a selfie of her growing baby bump, appearing to be anticipating her baby's arrival.

Rebekah captioned the black and white snap: 'Ready when you are, baby [love heart emoji].'
