Burnley have sent on-loan Danny Drinkwater back to Chelsea after a troubled spell with Sean Dyche's men.
Former Premier League winner Drinkwater had hoped to get more minutes on the pitch after heading up to Turf Moor, but he has played just twice for the Claret and Blue and created headlines after being caught up in a fight on a night out in Manchester in August.
The 29-year-old's loan is set to expire on January 6th and he will return to Stamford Bridge after Burnley opted not to extend the deal.
