The 2019 CAF Awards went down last night in Egypt.
It has been a record of four times for Asisat as the Best Player in women's category in the CAF Awards.
Although the Super Eagles and Barcelona forward wasn't present at the award ceremony.
It was gathered that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, president Amaju Pinnick picked up the award for Asisat.
The Nigerian striker has since expressed her joy of winning the award for the fourth time, as she thanked her team-mates in club and country as well as her country and club, Barca. She finally thanked the organizers of the award, CAF.
Taking to her social media after she was announced the winner of the prize, she tweeted:
Grateful to be African Women’s Player of the year for the 4th time. Thank God, my Family, Friends and Fans for the support. Big shoutout to my club , my management , team mates at both national team and club level and of course thanks to @CAF_Online for the opportunity ❤️❤️🙏🏾
