Antiono Conte side came from behind to defeat city rival in the Milan Derby on Sunday night.
It was a six goals thriller as Inter had to dig deep in order to take advantage of Juventus Slip up against Verona.
Rebic and Ibrahimovic scored in the 40th and 45th minutes to give AC Milan a 2-0 goals advantage going into the half time break.
But Conte side had to come back strong on the econs half, as two quick fire goals from Brozovic and Vecino saw the game level after 53 minutes.
With 30 minutes left to play, De Vrij got the goal to put Inter in the lead for the first time.
And former Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku headed the fourth in the 90th minutes.
The result sees Inter move ahead of Juventus on goals difference.
He posted a picture of himself holding on to Inter jersey saying:
"There's a new King in town"
