Amber Luke, 24, revealed her first tattoo was inspired by her mental health battle - and would lead to her spending $55,000 on body modification.

The model, from the New South Wales Central Coast, got her first tattoo when she was 16.

The tattoo read: 'You can keep knocking, but won't knock me down; no love lost, no love found.'

Amber said at 16 she felt as though she was over life before her diagnosis

'It was very relatable to my life at that point in time as I struggled with bullying for my mental health,' she told Daily Mail Australia.

'I was labelled an ''attention seeker'' at such a young age, when I was just merely struggling to live a normal life.'

Amber was diagnosed with severe clinical depression the same year she got her first tattoo and said she felt very over life.

She said her mind was playing torturous mental games with her constantly and by the time she was 23 she was re-diagnosed with borderline personality disorder with schizophrenic traits, along with severe clinical depression.

'That was really hard for me to hear, that I wasn't 'normal' in the brain. It really messed with me to think, 'why couldn't I have been born with the right chemicals in my brain',' she said.

Amber revealed she tried to take her own life on multiple occasions but two instances stand out.

'The first time was when I hung myself three years ago in an abandoned park,' Amber said.

'The second time was when I crashed my car into a tree going 100km/h, intentionally.

'I wish I knew back then that I was worth so much more than my mental illness. I am so much more than my mental illness. It doesn't define me.'

  1. Hello everyone guys! I want to tell you that in the modern world CBD has appeared, which supports your health. This cbd helps with many ailments, such as headache, stress, depression, insomnia and much more. Convenient shopping for natural remedies is already waiting for you on the Blesed cbd website. This dietary supplement has not yet been fully studied, but there is speculation that cbd capsules may even stop the strong depression.
