Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.
Burna Boy took to social media to flaunt the Platinum Plaque given to him by Stormy for his feature in the track, ‘Own It’. This is coming after the singer lost out in the Best International Act category to American rapper, Tyler The Creator at the 2020 BRIT awards and also loosing out on the Grammy award to Angelique Kidjo.
While backstage at the event, Stormzy was filmed handing over the Platinum plaque to Burna Boy. Taking to his official social media page, Burna Boy shared pictures of his plaque and certificate, revealing that over 600,000 copies of the single have been sold in the UK as at 3rd February, 2020.
