Citizens will host Gunners on Wednesday night in the rescheduled game.
Pep Said: "Yeah, I’m looking forward to welcoming Mikel back to Manchester.
"I said three or four years ago he would be a manager when the right opportunity came for him."
He added that the Arteta will succeed at Arsenal.
"I am pretty sure Arsenal will have success with him."
Recall that Arteta who trained under Pep Guardiola for two years as assistant before he was appointed manager of Arsenal.
He replaced Unai Emery who was fired late last year.
Arteta, former player and capta4 of Arsenal is yet to loose any game in the league in 2020.
The only loss came in the hands of Olympiakos in the second leg of Europa League, which saw the Gunners crash out.
