Finally, the date to play the Champions League and the Europa League has been determined

The date to play the remaining fixtures of the Champions League and the Europa League has been communicated by UEFA after their meetings on Tuesday afternoon.

The European football governing body has decided to postpone the Euro tournament to 2021, the Euro was scheduled for the summer of 2020 but the outbreak of coronavirus has affected the plans.


With Euro now moved to 2021, the Summer will be used to complete the Champions League pending fixtures as the football calendar welcomes adjustments.


At a video conference meeting held on Tuesday, directors decided that the Champions League final should be held on June 27 and the Europa League final on June 24.


The final will still be held at Istanbul as planned, the final dates for the Europa League and Champions League were May 27 and May 30 respectively but the outbreak of the deadly virus ensured that the dates were adjusted and the finals won’t take place as scheduled but the venue remained unchanged.


The likes of Spurs, Liverpool, Dortmund and Valencia are all affected with the plans as they are already knocked out of the tournament.
