Super Eagles star defender Kenneth Omeruo posts emotional throwback of AFCON medal with 'Golden Boy' |
Central defender Kenneth Omeruo is one of the most dependable players of the Super Eagles.
The Leganes star has been a great servant of the team since helping Eagles win the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa.
He has since been capped 51 times by his country at international level. His only goal for the team was against Guinea at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Memories are meant to be reignited and the 26-year-old Chelsea product posted an emotional throwback of the Bronze medal Nigeria won at AFCON 2019.
The three-time African champions beat Tunisia 1-0 thanks to Odion Ighalo's goal to place third in Cairo.
He was so emotional with the post featuring 'Golden Boy' Victor Osimhen who is on the books of Lille in France. It will recalled that Osimhen has netted three goals and provided two assists in his last two matches for the Super Eagles.
Omeruo captioned on Instagram: "Throwback to Afcon Bronze medal celebration with our star player @Vicrorosimhen9 #omeruo #afcon #caf. Two Afcon two medals all God. #UPSUPEREAGLES."
Kenneth Omeruo, 27, numbers Middlesbrough, Alanyaspor, Ado Den Haag and Kasimpasa as his former clubs. He also made a combination of 12 caps for Nigeria U17 and U20 national teams respectively.
