Rashford gives positive result while recovering from injury

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has revealed he is in a ‘much better place’ than he was last month, as he edges closer to a return to first-team training.

The 22-year-old’s excellent season was brought to an untimely standstill after suffering a double stress fracture in his back in January.

Rashford had been enjoying the most prolific Premier League campaign of his career, scoring 14 goals in 22 appearances

It was initially feared the England international’s season would be over, but he admitted he is progressing quicker than expected.

Rashford told Sky Sports News: ‘I feel much better. I have a scan in another couple of days and that should solidify it, but I feel much better compared to two or three weeks ago.

‘I feel 10 times better now. For me, now it’s just about getting ready to build up back up to training and then playing games for the team.

‘I’m in a much better place. I’m much happier than I was about a month ago so things are looking positive.’
