Serbia president instructs police to arrest Luka Jovic if he goes out again

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has ordered the immediate arrest of Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic if he goes out again, after Jovic recently swapped self-isolation in Madrid for a night out in Belgrade.

"If he leaves his apartment, he will be arrested," Vucic said. "I think he regrets what he did, but I will make it clear to him that the lives of our people are more important than his millions."


The 22-year-old tested negative for the COVID-19 but going out to party earned criticism from the press and also politicians in Serbia.


It is still unknown whether his club will take disciplinary measures against him, but the papers are already reporting that he has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window.


Jovic has scored just two goals in this season's LaLiga campaign.
