Simi attended Stars International College, in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
She graduated from Covenant University, studied Mass Communication.
Simi is married to singer Adekunle Gold. The got married in a private wedding ceremony on January 9, 2019.
Simi mother, Jedidiah Ogunleye remarried in 2018.
It was gathered that Simi was the maid of honour at the marriage ceremony which took place at Daystar Christian Centre in Lagos.
Simi has lost her father Charles Oladele Ogunleye, who died in 2014.
