Mike Tyson has admitted his pet tigers could have come from infamous former zoo owner Joe Exotic - star of the Netflix show Tiger King.
Heavyweight legend Tyson was known for having three big cats in his house and became synonymous with the creatures, but has recently admitted regret over owning them as pets.
Tyson bought the Bengal tigers, named Kenya, Storm and Boris after leaving prison in the 1990s, and following the release of the hit Netflix documentary Tiger King, the 53-year-old has been pondering the origin of his animals.
The two-time world champion said he had heard of the now-jailed 'Tiger King' as an owner of the animals, and admitted there is a possibility that his three big cats came from him indirectly.
'It could have been, maybe where I got my cats could have got their cats from Joe. But I don't know.
'If you are in the exotic animal world you are aware of him.'
Joe Exotic was a controversial figure who is now serving jail time after being convicted of 17 charges of animal abuse and two counts of murder for hire.
But Tyson said the Netflix star was 'a born leader' and praised him for having 'an ingenious mind'.
'People always say these people are scumbags. But these are amazing people with what they can do with their ingenious minds and control over other people's minds. These guys are born leaders.'
