West Ham star Jack Wilshere has picked out Cesc Fabregas and Wayne Rooney as the two ‘best players’ he’s been lucky enough to call team-mates in his career.
Wilshere, 28, has shared the field with some of football’s biggest names after a decade-long spell in Arsenal’s first-team where his outstanding early performances saw him hailed as the next big thing in England.
The midfielder won two FA Cups and a Community Shield during his time at the Emirates and has been rewarded with 34 caps for his country but his progress has been hampered by a series of injuries and he left Arsenal to join West Ham in 2018 in a bid to get his career back on track.
During a candid Q&A session with his Instagram followers on Saturday night, Wilshere said Asked to name the best player he’s ever played with, Wilshere replied: ‘It’s tough, I played with some good players.
‘Probably Cesc or Wazza.’
