The two have been at it for years, however the Tootsie Slide hitmaker – who released his latest track last week – appeared on the former rapper’s Instagram live on Sunday and insisted he never deliberately goes out of his way to ‘avoid’ 39-year-old Joe.
Referencing the fact he’s cool with other members of [Drake’s label] OVO, Joe said: ‘You’re the only one that, like, avoids me for some strange reason.’
Drake, 33, insisted: ‘Never avoid you. I just don’t see you. We’re never in the same place.’
Ah, yes, that ol’ chestnut.
The broadcaster joked: ‘Cause I’m too broke?’ as Drake quipped: ‘I didn’t want to say it.’
Joe then pointed out the fact the Hotline Bling hitmaker has sat for full interviews with other broadcasters such as Elliott Wilson and B.Dot of Rap Radar so asked when he will get his own chat with the star.
According to Drake, it’ll happen ‘when the album is ready’.
Joe replied: ‘You’ve been saying that for a year, and now I have a whole leaked album with like 30 Drake joints.’
But Drake dismissed those as ‘old s**t’.
The two men have made jabs at one another several times over the years, after, with Joe once dissing Drizzy’s album Views, calling it ‘uninspired’ which led to Drake dissing Budden on his track 4PM In Calabasas.
During his Summer Sixteen tour, Drake took a swipe at his rival as he quipped: ‘I should’ve brought Joe Budden up here and let him do Pump It Up one time tonight. Pump, pump, pump it up. F**k them n****s, man.’
