Taking to Kensington Palace Instagram, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 38, shared adorable photos of their youngest child keeping busy by painting rainbows to celebrate the NHS.
'Sharing a sneak peek of Prince Louis’s handiwork ahead of his second birthday! We are pleased to share images ahead of Prince Louis’s second birthday tomorrow, taken by The Duchess this April,' the caption read.
But royal fans couldn't help but notice the striking similarity between the birthday boy, and his grandfather, Michael, 75.
'He looks like Catherine’s father, Michael Middleton!' wrote one, while a second penned: 'So adorable. Looks like Kate's dad.'
A third commented: 'A little dote - the image of his Grandpa Middleton!'
The pictures of Prince Louis were taken at Anmer Hall, their Norfolk home, this month by his doting mother Kate.
In the snaps, the young royal can be seen dressed in a smart, blue checked shirt, and has the same heart-shaped faces, rosy cheeks and enchanting gap-toothed smiles as his brother, Prince George, six.
And the comparison didn't go amiss by eagle-eyed fans in the comments section either.
'Yeah he's the double of George,' commented one, while a second wrote: 'He's George's mini me!'
