After testing positive for COVID-19, the Liverpool legend was released from hospital on Sunday and is self-isolating at home.
On Thursday in a new tradition across the country, Dalglish and his family showed their appreciation for nurses and doctors with a period of applause.

The 69-year-old was admitted to Southport and Ormskirk General last Wednesday after feeling unwell with a separate condition
He was diagnosed with having gallstones but was subsequently tested for COVID-19, as a matter of course.
