Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho has spoken out about the training session he had with Tanguy Ndombele, after being pictured with the Spurs midfielder.
Footage emerged on social media of Mourinho overseeing a makeshift training session with Ndombele on Hadley Common in north London, with the Tottenham boss wearing the club training top and tracksuit bottoms.
But the Spurs boss has now spoken out about the session, as reported by the Mirror, who also claim that Mourinho was spoken to by the club.
“I accept that my actions were not in line with government protocol and we must only have contact with members of our own household," he said.
"It is vital we all play our part and follow government advice in order to support our heroes in the NHS and save lives.”
Meanwhile, a Tottenham Hotspur spokesperson has been quoted in national media as saying: "All of our players have been reminded to respect social distancing when exercising outdoors."
