NYSC Camp Fire Has Come Back To Hunt Me

I woke up this morning and got this disturbing mail, which I had to share...

Dear Aproko Doctor,
I don't know where to start my story from, but hope you take your time to reply me, ASAP.

I would rather keep my identity undisclosed, but am in my early 30's and am married. I just wedded my darling wife last year June. I am a banker. I am actually Igbo but my wife is Yoruba. I work with one of the tele comms brand.

That's all about me, but to my problem... I received a text message last month which read, "you think you can leave me to carry this burden? We are in it together!"

At first, I didn't take it seriously because I don't involve myself in an shady business. Few weeks ago, I received the second from the same number, "your surprise days are numbered" the text reads.

Now, I was getting bothered, but didn't want anything to be known to my wife, as we still trying to start our life as a couple.

On this faithful day, I was on two weeks leave, but wife, who happens to teach in a near by school wasn't at home. I heard a knock on the door, and I stood up to attend to the person. Opening the door and saw my biggest surprise!

It was "Atinuke"!!!!! she was a lady I met during my NYSC three weeks orientation. I actually served in Oyo. She worked at the cartneen in the Maami market.

Atinuke and I just had a one night thing, and it was on the night of our camp fire, and that was it.

Now, staring at her after two years, with a child had gutted. "what is going on?" I asked myself.

She could speak good English, as she told me then, her school was on strike and she had come work at the Maami just to have an experience of being in the NYSC camp.

Thoughts ran into my head, "could I have done this?" I try to recollect what happened that night with her, "did I use protection?"

She pushed me out of the way and entered my sitting room. She sat and said, "this boy is yours!"......

I asked her, "how did you even trace my address?" she laughed and told me not to bother.

Then, I suspected my close friend, whom we served together and knew about my affair with her.

..... "What will I tell my wife? "
