Selena Gomez shares behind-the-scenes footage of her music video, 'Boyfriend'

The video for her latest single, Boyfriend, has already been viewed over 25 million times in the past week. 

And Selena Gomez has now given a fans a look at the making of the video which sees her go on dates with three potential suitors.

But it was not all smooth sailing with the 27-year-old caught freaking out over some toads after the director yelled action

‘Did I hurt her?’ she asks after she squeals and the toad jumps out of her hands

And after a few failed attempts of filming with the amphibian, Selena found a linking to her. 

‘I’ve never held a toad. I think people are so scared of them because of the texture but they’re actually so sweet.’ 

‘Now I’ve connected with her. Her eyes. I want a toad.’ 

The video sees Selena’s character try to find a boyfriend but later releases she is better alone and turns them into toads. 

‘It’s centered around me going around and seeing these guys,’ she explains. 

‘I go on these dates with three different guys. It actually feels like dating!’    

Last week Selena shared a sultry selfie she took during the shoot. 

‘On the set of boyfriend,’ she captioned.  

Boyfriend is featured on the new deluxe edition of her latest album Rare released earlier this month amid the COVID-19 lockdowns.

The original version of Rare did not include Boyfriend and was released this January, marking Selena’s third solo studio album.
