World No 354 Benjamin Hassan returned to the tennis court on Friday wearing a face mask as he took part in the Tennis Point Exhibition Series in Germany amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 25-year-old returned to competitive tennis in his home country under strict health regulations as the first event of three to form the Exo Tennis Series got underway.
Whilst the ATP and WTA Tours are still suspended until at least mid-July due to the pandemic, the matches allowed some of the sports stars to take part in some competitive games and keep their fitness up.
The matches were played without any spectators, line judges and ball kids and there were no handshakes after the match.
The event - that continues until Monday - ensured they took great care in the athletes and staff wellbeing.
Players arrived at the event alone and warmed up in their own space, not near any other athletes or staff. Once sets are finished during matches, they sat at separate ends of the court during changeovers.
