Recollect that David Luiz signed a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months with Arsenal from London rivals Chelsea in an £8million deal last summer.

Luiz spent four years with Benfica, before he moved to Stamford Bridge to join Chelsea in January 2011.
"I have already spoken with Vieira. It will happen if the President permits it and fans want me back," he is reported as saying by Portuguese outlet Record, who feature Luiz on the front cover of Saturday's edition.

With Chelsea he won the UEFA Europa League.In June 2014, he moved to French Ligue 1 to join Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of £50 million. Luiz won all four domestic competitions during his two seasons with PSG.
He returned to Chelsea in August 2016 in a £30 million transfer deal, and he lifted the Premier League with the Blues in 2016.
He added: "Benfica doesn’t deserve me to come back without helping."
