David Beckham has reflected on his time in South Africa. He revealed he doesn't regret suffering a broken bone from a Thabang Molefe challenge during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The South African country became the first African nation to host the World Cup.
As he talked about meeting the late, former South African president Nelson Mandela, former Real Madrid, PSG, and AC Milan Star says he wished he had a different hairstyle when he met Mandela.
"I've got pictures of myself and Nelson Mandela in my home and he looks great‚" said Beckham to the media at the Discovery Leadership Summit in Sandton on Monday.
"But unfortunately I've got cornrows"
Beckham picked up the injury in May 2003 when England beat Bafana Bafana 2-1 at Kings Park Rugby Stadium.
England lost 2-1 to Brazil in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
