Lille approves Osimhen trip to Nigeria for his father's burial

Nigerian footballer and Lille star, Victor Osimhen is heart broken following the sudden death of his father.

The new broke on Sunday morning that Osimhen’s father had passed on late at night.

Although the nature of his death is yet to be disclose to the media but the Nigerian football Federation has also confirmed the news. 

It's been reported that Osihmen club, Lille has approved the forward to travel to Nigeria from France for thr dad's burial. 

As a mater of fact, a private plane to fly only him home to Nigeria has been provided by the French club.

According to a press release by the Nigeria Football Federation, 

“His club, Lille OSC of France has given him a private aircraft to come to Nigeria to be with his family and probably for the burial rites.

Amaju Pinnick also revealed that the federation has applied for a landing permit but the request hasn't been granted as at the time of filing this report 

“We have applied for landing permit but we are yet to get this. However, we are still on it and hopeful for the sake of the young lad”, said Amaju Pinnick.

He moved to French League in 2019, from Charleroi and has scored 13 goals from 27 Ligue 1 games before the season was cut short due to the coronavirus..

He has since reacted to the death of his dad.
