My first day in training and Henderson told me to fvck off - Robertson reflect on difficult start at Liverpool

Andy Robertson has revealed that Jordan Henderson told him to 'f*** off' during his first rondo after he'd arrived at club.

The Scotland international moved to Anfield from Hull City in 2014 after Hull relegated.

Klopp left Robertson out of the team for several months while he adjusted to his tactical demands.

The left-back was therefore keen to impress on the training pitch but he was given a rude awakening to life at Liverpool by new team-mate Henderson.

"I think people may be do sink, they can't cut it or whatever," Robertson said on the Peter Crouch Podcast.

"But for me I came from lower leagues, I don't see it as much as people who have played at the highest level.

"When I done it, I got accepted especially by the English lads.

"I had my first box in the rondo and Hendo told me to 'f*** off' as soon as I went in.

"It was because it was the two youngest players in and I stepped in.

"He didn't know I was 22, he thought I was 28.

"So he told me to 'f*** off' so that was a nice start, at least I knew the skipper was on my side."

Robertson replaced the injured Alberto Moreno in the starting line up in December 2017 and went on to hit top gear since then.
