Former Super Eagles Of Nigeria midfield player, John Obi Mikel shared the throwback snap of of himself with his U-13 team. 

Incase you don't know, Mikel began his football career at the age of 12 in the Pepsi Football Academy.


John Mikel started his career with Nigerian football club Plateau United. He joined Norwegian club Lyn at the age of 17 in 2004. 




The 32 year-old had a successful career with Chelsea Football Club of England. He played for the West London side for 11 years. 

He made 249 appearances while scoring a goal. 

He played from  2006 to 2017, he won the Premier League, FA Cup, Football League Cup, FA Community Shield, UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.



He moved to China with Tianjin TEDA in 2017. Mikel left China after two years in China to make his second return to England with Middlesbrough. 

In 2019, he signed for Turkish side, Trabzonspor on a free transfer


He made his debut for Super Eagles in 2005. He played 88 times for Nigeria, scoring six goals.

Mikel Obi retired from international football in 2019 after the African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
