The Dutch international named Sir Alex Ferguson as the best manager.
Van Persie endured a difficult spell at Arsenal is due to injuries and lack of fitness.
Van Persie started his football education with Feyenoord during the 2001–02 season.
But he has described Ferguson as a “super manager’ in ‘LVG – The Manager and the Total Person’.
After five years with Feyenoord, he joined English club Arsenal in 2004 for £2.75 million.
Van Persie won the 2004 FA Community Shield and the 2004–05 FA Cup with the Gunners. He went on score a club record of 35 goals in 2011 for Arsenal.
He moved to Manchester in 2011. It was Sir Alex Ferguson that signed him.
Van Persie only played under the Scot for one year. He won the Premier League title in 2012/2013 season with Manchester United and also finished as the top scorer with 26 goals.
He continued: “Ferguson really was a super manager. It was so brilliant how he always kept the entire squad happy and focused.Wenger was a combination of Ferguson and Van Gaal. Arsene always emphasized all the positive things and he looked at what would work for the long term.
But Sir Alex Ferguson left Manchester United David Moyes took charge. He was also shown the exit door after few months.
Van Gaal took over after the 2014 World Cup outing with Netherlands.
“Tactically he (Van Gaal) is a genius. You can’t deny that. I have had managers who had their own strengths.But Ferguson really was a super manager,” Van Persie said.
Van Persie didn't enjoy a good relationship with Van Gaal as he left Old Trafford for loan spell at Fenerbahce until he eventually returned to his boyhood club, Feyenoord in 2018.
He retired in 2019.
