Sergio Aguero suffered an injury and had to be replaced during the Monday's game against Burnley.
Manchester City thrashed Burnley 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Phil Foden got the Citizens in the lead before Riyad Mahrez double with a right foot strike.
Aguero was substituted just before half time after he was brought down by Burnley captain Ben Mee in the box.
Mahrez stepped up and converted to make it 3-0 heading into the break.
Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: "It doesn't look good, something in the knee, we will see tomorrow (Tuesday) in a better way what he has. He was struggling in the last month about pain in his knee, we will see."
David Silva and Phil Foden added two more goals in the second half to complete the comprehensive win.
When asked whether he was worried Aguero would miss the rest of the season, Guardiola answered: "Tomorrow we will see.
"I am not a doctor, but it doesn't look good."
Manchester City might have given up on winning the Premier League this campaign after a 20 points gap between them an leaders Liverpool, the Citizens are still in the Champions League with a 2-1 advantage against Real Madrid in first leg.
Also, Pep Guardiola side are still in the race to win FA Cup haven qualified for the quarter final stage.
