| Kai Havertz has been ruled out of Leverkusen's DFB-Pokal semi-final against Saarbrucken |
Leverkusen are set to face Saarbrucken away from home on Tuesday before taking on Schalke 04 just five days later on Sunday.
Leverkusen boss, Peter Bosz, said in a pre-match media conference that Havertz will not play on Tuesday as a precaution.
'The match is too early for him. He's not going to be in the squad,' he said.
'The question was if he's able to play. The answer is yes he would be able, but we would take a risk, and we don't want to do that. We hope that he's getting better and be able to play [against Schalke] on Sunday. We have to wait.'
