Megan Thee Stallion won the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the first-ever virtual BET Awards which held on Sunday, June 28.
The 25-year-old rapper beat Cardi B, Doja Cat, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, and Saweetie to scoop the award.
It was reported that the award was conducted virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic and artists on the night performed via virtual display.
While accepting the award she said: "Oh, my God, I probably recorded this video, like 10 times. It feels so crazy doing this from my house, but thank you, BET. I cannot believe I won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist."
"I used to watch the BET Awards all the time thinking, 'One day, that's gonna be me going up there accepting my awards and now it is. Thank you so much. And hotties, I'm just going to keep going for y'all,' added the Texas native.
