German Sport brand, Adidas dumps Mesut Ozil after seven years

Arsenal’s star player, Mesut Ozil has been dumped by his boot sponsor as Adidas decided not to renew his lucrative contract. 

According to Bild, Ozil signed for the German sportswear giants back in 2013 when he was a Real Madrid player.

It's now been reported that Ozil's seven-year deal was worth around £2million. He switched camp from Nike to their biggest rivals, Adidas. 

German newspaper Bild have now reported that the company will not extend the deal for the 31-year-old. 

Just so you know, It is the second major sponsor Ozil has lost in the last two years after Mercedes also allowed his contract to expire in 2018.
