Nigerian singer an song writer, Burnaboy has weighed in on the sad passing away of Nigerian music legend, Majek Fashek
The sad news of the legendary "send down the rain" crooner flooded the internet in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Sharing a photo of Majek Fashek, he wrote:
"Majek Fashek was a great musician .
The lyrics to his song So Long, Too Long
remain true as a wake up call to Africans
till today. Rest in Peace To A Legend "
Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek was a Nigerian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was best known in his home country for the 1988 album Prisoner of Conscience, which included the multiple award-winning single "Send Down the Rain"
Majek Fashek had been ill for some time but the cause of his death is not clear.
