Benfica got the first goal after 18 minutes as Pizzi got the lead. Just before half time, Benfica doubled their as Andre Almeida made it 0-2.
Portimonense fought back in the second half, as Dener pulled one back after the half hour mark.
With 20 minutes left of regulation time, the come back was completed with Beto getting the equaliser.
