Real Madrid 3-0 Valencia: Benzema scores a brace as Asensio nets first goal after return from injury since last year July

Karim Benzema scored a brace as Real Madrid cruised to a 3-0 win over Valencia on Thursday at  Madrid Castilla's Alfredo Di Stefano stadium.

Marco Asensio who suffered anterior cruciate ligament injury last July and only regained fitness during LaLiga's suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic. He cam on as a substitute and scored with his first touch in the game.

Just before Real Madrid scored, Rodrigo slotted home after 21 minutes, only for VAR spot an offside against Maxi Gomez, who deflected Carlos Soler's pass into his team-mate's path.

Meanwhile Valencia were reduced to ten men Lee Kang In was sent off in the 89th minutes of the game.
