We knew Everton would be tough - Wijnaldum says as Liverpool played goalless

Liverpool were held to a goalless draw on Sunday against Everton in the Merseyside derby.

Both sides were unhappy to find the back of the net as Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti shared the points.

Gigi Wijnaldum came off the bench to install creativity in the middle of the park for Naby Keita.

The Dutch International has come out to express his sides disappointment in the draw but admitted they knew Everton would proof to be a tough test.

The point sees Liverpool extend their lead on top of the Premier League to 24 points. The Reds need just one more point to claim the title from current Champions in Manchester City.

Liverpool will be hoping to seal their first league title in 30 years with a win against Crystal Palace at the Wembley stadium this week.

After the game Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson will be fit for the clash against Roy Hodgson Crystal Palace.

Mo Salah was an unused substitute while Robertson didn't make the match day squad. According to the German tactician, he had doubts on both players fitness but admits they will be back.
